About Josh Langley
A Los Angeles native, Joshua Langley was always attracted to art. His first job was as an artist assistant in the education program at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). As an employee at LACMA for half a decade, Joshua was surrounded by extraordinary works of art and some amazing artists. During this period, he chose acclaimed artist Mike Garcia as a mentor and enrolled in the Mike Curb College of Arts at California State University Northridge. After graduating in 2013, Josh pursued a career in art education while continuing to hone his own artistic voice.
Today, Joshua Langley is best known as an accomplished figure artist. His intricate and detailed works are a union of traditional styles, filtered through a contemporary lens. Langley’s work aims to capture the brief, but impactful narratives that define the human condition. His work can be seen locally, in the Los Angeles area, at Art exhibitions and galleries.
Here is Langley, described by his mentor Mike Garcia: “Joshua Langley is definitely an up-and-coming artist to watch. He has more than an eye for detail, he draws out a deep and profound interpretation of life through detail. I have rarely seen an artist so diligent and committed to the slightest feature, which makes a subject literally come alive.”
